Value Adding Quest

The 2010 Value Adding Quest is a Technology and Enterprise based challenge that encourages students to identify a community need and create a product, concept, process or promotion that ‘value adds’ to an Western Australian primary product.

The 2010 Value Adding Quest supports the use of Western Australian resources and encourages students to consider principles of sustainability. Technology and Enterprise is synonymous with sustainability because they both strive to meet the needs of current and future generations through integration of social advancement, environmental protection, and economic prosperity.

When designing and producing their product or process, students should consider the environmental impact of materials chosen; the efficient use of resources throughout the VAQ process and any associated social implications.
